School Food Services

School Food Services
School nutrition services that promote the health and nutrition of students through access to a variety of nutritious and appealing meals.
Pejsach's Pointers:
Food service personnel are a school's hidden treasure. These are folks who can reinforce lessons on nutrition, and find ways to match the menu with a health theme.
It is in your best interest to include food services staff in planning and building your coordinated school health program. Include one or more staff member in curriculum training, health services consults (food allergies?), healthy environment planning, etc.
